This article describes how to check that a computer, running either Windows or Mac OS X, is fully up-to-date with the latest protection from SophosLabs.
Checking your computers are up-to-date can be done centrally with the Enterprise Console. However, the process shown below is useful where a single computer (or perhaps a small group of computers) is either not connected to the main network, or connects infrequently, in which case you cannot check from a central location, when the last update occurred.
Applies to the following Sophos product(s) Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+Sophos Endpoint Security and ControlSophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS X
Check when the latest update occurred, and if necessary, the versions of software that are on your computer.
Note: hovering over the Sophos shield indicates when checks were last made, but doesn't necessarily indicate when it was actually last updated.
