When running the Sophos Central installer on a computer, a set of compatibility checks are performed to ensure the installation can continue.
In situations where these checks do not meet the required preconditions, the following error is returned:
The installation cannot continue because some preconditions were not satisfied.

This error is triggered as the computer does not satisfy all the preconditions for migrating to Sophos Central.

Note: This installer is only used by the Sophos Central migration tool - to move from the on premises Sophos Enterprise Console (SEC) to Sophos Central. All downloads of the installer from within Sophos Central use a different and newer version and the information below does not apply to it. Unless you are troubleshooting issues with SEC migrations, please see Sophos Central Endpoint: Installer precheck messages.

This is something an administrator has set up to facilitate messaging. See information on message relays in knowledgebase article 14635.
As this is a critical element of the on-premise infrastructure it is currently unsupported for migration to Sophos Cloud.
Uninstall Sophos Anti-Virus and then run the installer again. To uninstall:
Note: Stopping the 'Sophos AutoUpdate Service' prevents an update from occurring during the uninstall. If the service is not stopped and the uninstall of Sophos Anti-Virus is delayed for a period longer than the update schedule, then Sophos Anti-Virus could be re-installed.
Check whether the 'Temp' directory location is present on the disk or the System Environment Variables ‘TEMP’ and/or ‘TMP’ are not blank or not present. To check the Variables (the headings may differ slightly depending on the OS):

We recommend that at least 1GB is available on the system drive. Free up space and run the installer again.
