Maintenance stop is when development will no longer provide software fixes for this version.
Support stop is when Sophos Support on this product version will end
The mobile area is very agile and the release cycles are driven by the respective mobile platforms. Therefore the lifecycle of the mobile products is shorter than usual for Sophos products. To provide an idea of the lifecycle planning, please look at the general rules described below.
Only the latest version of SMC and SMC SaaS will be updated to become compatible to updates of the mobile OS (e.g. iOS 7 to iOS 8). It is recommended to upgrade early to new versions to plan for it.
In general, only versions on the latest patch level will receive maintenance. We will not provide hotfixes or patches for previous versions.

In the time frames defined above as Support time, the compatibility will be maintained.

As SMC as a Service is managed by Sophos, we do not provide an lifecycle data. The SMC as a Service instances get updated within 4 weeks after any SMC release latest. The updates and maintenance details are published here.
