This article describes how to change the default PureMessage policy to block spam messages.
By default, the PureMessage for Unix policy does not block spam messages. A copy of the message will be quarantined, but the message will still be delivered as normal. A [SPAM] tag is added to the header of the e-mail to indicate that PureMessage detected it as spam.
This allows you to evaluate Sophos spam detection capabilities alongside another product, before putting the PureMessage server in full production.
