Sending an APNS message to an iOS device works via the URL https://sophos-mc.smsdc.de/apns.cgi. It is necessary that the SMC Server can connect to the URL.
This is an issue associated with the customer's environment, access to the URL is being blocked.
Advise customer to check whether a firewall is blocking the connection to the URL https://sophos-mc.smsdc.de/apns.cgi
It is not possible to test the connection by simply connecting to the URL via a browser.
Another reason for this error could be an outdated java version being in use on the SMC server. Update the Java version to the latest version available. Additional information how to update the Java version can be found in KBA 119449.
