Other applications are using the same ephemeral port 51234 as the Sophos Update Manager (SUM), and after changing the port that SUM uses to communicate with the Remote Management System (RMS), a port conflict is encountered after a reboot of the SUM server.
In the Agent.log file, the following errors can be seen:
An uninitialized socket was created. Failed to connect to the SUM host: connection was refused

You cannot exclude ports by using the ReservedPorts registry key in Windows Server 2008 or in Windows Server 2008 R2
