No. As SUM for OS X is being retired, SAV 9 for Mac will not be made available via SUM for OS X.
No. No more feature updates are planned for SUM for OS X.
Currently retirement is planned for April 2014 (when SAV for Mac version 8 is retired).
Sophos is working on a new management systems to better meet the evolving needs of our customers and to better support the new range of policy features to be introduced in upcoming versions of SAV for OS X. Maintaining SUM for OS X as a separate management system is not consistent with providing the best experience for all customers and so it will be superseded by a future solution.
If you require pre-configured installers you should continue to use SAV for Mac version 8 for the time being.
We are rationalizing our management solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers. With this in mind, SUM for OS X does not fit into this vision and will be superseded by a future solution.
We will be removing SUM for OS X from the Sophos website. The best option for you is to use Enterprise Console or Sophos Cloud. We will only provide the SUM for OS X to licensed customers that have a valid reason for needing the installer.
