Sophos Mobile Control can use defined Exchange ActiveSync settings under a Mobile Device Management profile (created with the Apple iPhone Configuration Utility) to allow iPhone and iPad devices to communicate directly with your Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010 via Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (EAS), enabling push email, calendar, contacts, and tasks. Exchange ActiveSync also provides users with access to the Global Address List (GAL), and provides administrators with passcode policy enforcement and remote wipe capabilities.
If this profile is removed from the mobile device, all data (email, calendar items and contacts) introduced by the profile will also be removed.
