This article describes the available options in Sophos Mobile Control to deploy Exchange ActiveSync accounts to Android devices. The following sections are covered:

Within Sophos Mobile Control you have the following two options to configure and deploy an Exchange ActiveSync account to manage Android devices.
Creating a device profile
To create an Android device profile which configures the Exchange account on LG, Samsung or a Sony device, follow these steps:
Transferring the device profile
The devices will now receive the configured profile and will be asked to enter their account password to enable email synchronization. After doing so email synchronization should be possible.
Note: To use this feature a Sophos Mobile Control advanced license is required.
Creating a container policy for Sophos Secure Email
To be able to use Sophos Secure Email a container policy must be applied to the device. To create and assign a policy, follow the steps below.
Assigning container policy to devices
The policy is now automatically distributed to the selected Android devices. If the user opens Sophos Secure Email he is asked to enter his asked to enter the password for his account.
