"Wanna" ransomware outbreak. Please see this Sophos article sophos.com/kb/126733 for advice on how to protect your organization. Immediate action recommended.
This article is intended for customers who wish to enter the Extended Maintenance phase of Endpoint Security and Control, in line with the Sophos Endpoint for Windows Product Lifecycle Policy.
NOTE: This will not affect Sophos Small Business or Endpoint Security customers and other existing subscriptions.
We are now adding 'Extended Maintenance' tags to the mainline warehouses for Endpoint Security and Control and Sophos Anti-Virus.
The new tags are visible in Enterprise Console when setting up or amending software subscriptions in the 'Software Subscriptions' window. They are displayed with a format similar to the following example: 9.5 Extended Maintenance Recommended 9.5 Extended Maintenance Previous 9.5 Extended Maintenance Oldest Additional packages are being added over time in accordance with the above Product Lifecycle Policy.
If you wish to to enter the Extended Maintenance phase of Endpoint Security and Control, you should change subscriptions at your earliest convenience.
In all cases the Extended Maintenance version is currently identical to the regular version, so there is no impact or risk to endpoints in making the change.
