Issue Use of the SafeGuard Enterprise Client on virtual machines.
Known to apply to the following Sophos product(s) and version(s) SafeGuard Device EncryptionSafeGuard Data Exchange
Operating systems All supported operating systems
The functionality of the SafeGuard Enterprise Client on VM-Ware 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0 has been thoroughly tested during the QA-cycle of the product (this applies to installations on regular virtualized full client OS, not installations on Terminal Server or in VDI environments). There are currently no known problems regarding the use of SafeGuard Enterprise Client in such environments, nor are there any known reasons why there should be an issue. The virtual machine software itself may have limitations (e.g. no, or only limited, USB support) which could limit the functionality of our own products (e.g. no smartcard/token logon on POA level possible if you are running it in a Virtual PC environment without USB support). As software manufacturers typically modify their products on a regular basis, this statement may change in the future.
