Is there a way to create a "fat" installer for Mac OS, specifically for Sophos Central? According to this KB article, there is, but not for Sophos Central:
https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/119744
It appears that "Central" generated installers are different than Enterprise installers, in that we don't have all the same files in the package.
For example:
In a fresh installer, just downloaded from my companies Sophos Central portal, under "Protect Devices", there is no CreateUpdatePreconfig file inside "Sophos\ Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/". Nor is the file inside "/Library/Caches/com.sophos.sau/CID/Sophos Installer.app/Contents/MacOS" (I only mention this path because the KB article mentions the CID folder, so I figured it was worth a shot).
Furthermore, it seems some of the Cloud/Central documents are either outdated or incorrect.
Another example:
https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/14179
Inside our installation package, there is no file named "InstallationDeployer", nor is there an "opm" folder under "/Library/Application\ Support/Sophos/". The three locations that "InstallationDeployer" does exist on my system is:
/Library/Application Support/Sophos/saas/Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/tools/InstallationDeployer
/Library/Caches/com.sophos.sau/CID/Sophos Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/tools/InstallationDeployer
/Library/Sophos Anti-Virus/Remove Sophos Anti-Virus.app/Contents/MacOS/tools/InstallationDeployer
I realize this is a compound issue, and the latter part of this post was more of a heads-up than anything else. If someone could point me in the right direction of creating a "fat" installer for Mac OS, for Sophos Central, that would be great.
