Any way to delay auto-updates? I have a Mac user on a tethered mobile connection worried about data usage.

I have a user that catches the train to work and tethers his Mac to his mobile phone so he can do some work. He's concerned that Sophos updates will use up all his data. Is there a way to cancel or reschedule the auto-updates? Any hacks or work-arounds? Any idea how big an average update is?

Thanks in advance.

  • HI Tim,

There is no ned to worry about the data usage for the Sophos Endpoint . It would connect with the Cloud server at all times and if needed it would only sync the policy and settings . As for the Update it would on check if you would have the latest update or not and would not take much of your Bandwidth while doing so (unless your system is offline for a long time).
