Failed to install ntp: unexpected error

Any ideas on what could cause this error?  I am running a trial version of Sophos Cloud and currently testing it on a 3 computers.  1 of them is causing this problem, the other 2 are fine.

  • Hi,

OK...Interesting, how about check the permissions on "c:\windows\system32\logfiles\wmi\RTbackup".

Ensure that the local system account has full control, reboot and then see if the Event Log service starts.  If so, the next update of Sophos should work.

    Regards,

    Jak

  • I apologise after a couple of reboots that's fixed it. Odd.
