OSX Mavericks The application "Sophos Installer.app" can't be opened.

Can you confirm that the execute permissions are present on the .app file? "ls -la" if not try adding them with 'chmod +x "path to\Sophos Installer.app"'

Hi. I added those and all permissions but it still wont open the file.

Hmm, I am not too sure than. In my lab I also have the "Sophos Installer Components" with execute permissions for everyone, you may want to try to add those as well.

Another thing you could try is to re-download the installer again, in case it got corrupted for any reason.

I have re-downloaded it many times. Here is the error in console..

It still looks like a permission issue. Can you show us the output of the following:

'ls -la "path to\Sophos Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/ Sophos Installer"'

You may need to re-apply the permissions on the installer package to include execute for everyone with the -R switch, in order to have it applied to all sub-folders and files.

It would be something like:

'chmod -R +xr "path to\Sophos Installer.app"'
