Memory Leak Sophos Cloud Advantage

Hi,

Recently i joined to sophos cloud protection, was installed on 5 PCs but one of then having seriou problems of memory leak. Somtimes boot during more than 5 minutes and use de machine its impossible, so i turn down all sophos services,

They are: Sophos Health Service, Sophos MCS Agent , Sophos MCS Client, Sophos MCS Heartbeat, Sophos Web Control Service, Sophos System Protection Service, Sophos web Intelligence Service and Sophos web Intelligence Update.

So the computer return from death and the user could return to work.

I need help :(

    Which process do you see this "leak" in and how did you determine it?

    Is there a chance you have multiple security products installed on these computers that are conflicting?

    Hi jak,

    This is the problem, when i let all process start, you can't use the machine, its much slow, nothing work, if you click on explorer, pass away few minutes and nothing. I wait 6 minutes to open task manager and i give up. And so i started chossing services (msconfig) and all times when any sophos services started, all problem come again.

    No other security softwares running, for sure.

    Can you disable all services apart from SAVService (Sophos Anti-Virus Service), do you see the problem then?

    If you do, what if you leave it running but turn off on-access scanning?

    I think narrowing it down to a particular process/service and then feature is the way to start.

    I did this, all suspicious services was disabled. That week, nothing changed, no new programs installed, no visible updates (MS etc).

    I agree with you, but all can i do i did, no sucess, but i think if was a service conflict, if was a real needed service i couldn't disable it, like bank guardians (in my country each bank have a one own and in past this was a problem for all AVs), but aparently not ...
