Delay in showing up in Dashboard

I installed Cloud on a machine about an hour ago.  It is clearly installed, and when i try to Authenticate User it requires the password from the Sophos Cloud site.  But it doesn't show up on the Dashboard under users or devices?  Is there a normal lag in this?

    It should appear pretty much straight away.  Taking Windows as an example, when you run the installer it installs MCS and AutoUpdate, the client then registers with Cloud (MCS Client log shows an identity being obtained), gets the updating policy, which in turn configures AutoUpdate to get updates which includes SAV.  It sounds like SAV is installed so it has at least obtained an updating policy.  

    On a Windows computer the main services for messaging are the MCS Client and MCS Agent service.  The MCS Agent service creates the messages and MCS Client sends them.  You could try restarting them both to force a status message up.
