Unable to perform silent install of "SophosInstall.exe"

In the process of attempted to troubleshoot the installation of Sophos Cloud via Group Policy, I discovered that I was unable to silently install SophosCloud on a single workstation.

If I run the command-prompt as Administration on a single workstation and run the "SophosInstall.exe -q" it does nothing. I opened the Task Manager and watched the "SophosInstall" process show up and then disappear about 5 seconds later. If I exclude the "-q" switchthe Sophos Installer UI appears and allow me to install it normally. I have even attempted to run it with the addition of the "-tps remove" switch to tell it remove competing AV products, but it does the exact same thing.

As far as the Group Policy aspect goes, I'm sure that is running properly, but have been able to get it to work since "SophosInstall.exe" won't run silently even manually.

Anyone who may want to give it a try and troubleshoot it, all I'm doing is watching the processes in Task Manager and entering this into a elevated commmand-prompt:

"SophosInstall.exe -q -tps remove"

If anyone has any idea why I can't get the installer to run silently, I would appreciate the input.

Thanks.

There was a problem running the Competitor Removal tool
There were products detected, but some cannot be removed by this version of the tool

I think it's safe to assume the installation is failing because the removal tool is exiting with an error?

I was afraid of this, having to remove each AV product manually. Unfortunately, not all workstations have the same product installed... a problem I inherited from my client's previous administrator.
