Intercept-X syncronized Web filtering categories with XGS?

Is there a plan to actually integrate Web categories across product in Sophos ecosystem? Right now, after pandemic created new ways for working, admins are looking for simplified way. 

Also, SWG is something on tope of the list for those admins.

    Thanks for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum. 

    There are some improvements planned for synchronized security that will allow an Endpoint and a Sophos Firewall to work in conjunction with one another in regards to scanning traffic, but I don’t know of any changes regarding web control policies specifically. 

    If the endpoint devices aren’t behind the firewall, the firewall's policy will not affect the endpoint device, could you elaborate on your question?

    Take notebook which sits behind firewall. Certain policies are applied on XGS firewall for web filtering. Customers wants same rules applied to Intercept-X client so when notebook is taken out of the network, it is compliant to internal company policies.
