Scripting installation

Hi, for years we have been using the Enduser Protection. Since a week we've changed to Intercept X via Sophos Central. I checked the page they are suggesting about installations: https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KB-000034831?language=en_US

I'm trying to set up a GPO like in this page, but it seems that it doesn't install because the old one is still present. Can I add the uninstallation part in the script, and won't this pose any problem as I thought you need to restart before you can install the new one. Or am I missing something?

If you are migrating from Sophos On Prem you should be able install the Central installer directly over the On Prem one. We even have a migration tool that can prep and set it up for you. However, a script can run it too.

Thank you for the reply. I'm reading the information about the migration tool. But I wonder where I can find this tool. I know I need to install this on the on prem server, but I don't know where to get this (the tool ;) ).

OK, so I've installed the migration tool (on a 2008 server), but when I try to start it, I'm getting the message: Sophos Migration Tool is unable to start. Unable to connect to Sophos Central. How can I solve this?

Does this happen as soon as it launches or when you put in the credentials?

Can you post a screen?

What happens if on that machine you open a web browser and nav to central.sophos.com?

Do you get any prompts or redirects?

Are there any authenticating proxies between that machine and the outside world?

Any proxies at all?

The tool does a direct call to our AWS instances over 443 and if there is a proxy or some sort of SSL filter intercepting the traffic it will fail.

Hi, no I don't get any prompt for credentials. Concerning the proxy I need to check, but normally we should have a direct connection.
