[Sophos Advisory] Central Mac - Chrome tabs slow to open with message "chrome-search://local-ntp/local-ntp.html"

Hi Community,

Overview

Chrome tabs are seeing a delay when a new tab is opened and the URL is entered before the tab page is finished loading

Message seen in tab -  "chrome-search://local-ntp/local-ntp.html"

Applies to the following Sophos product(s) and version(s)

Sophos Central Mac Endpoints

Impact

This is affecting any Sophos Central Mac's

Has been seen on version 9.9.8 systems and version 10.0.0

Workaround

There are currently no workaround at this time

    We started experiencing this issue 22 days ago at the very least. We first thought it was a Google problem but after further digging, we found it was Sophos. This case was escalated since September 16th from my company. I don't quite get how this was missed during testing. Google Chrome is one of the most common used browsers for companies since it's a manageable browser. How can there be no further explanation except one KB article created?
