Web Control vs Web Gateway?

Our partner suggested that we can and should run the Web Control and Web Gateway simultaneously, but Sophos support has said this is not recommended and will cause problems.  Has anyone else used both products?

    Although each product essentially performs the same function, there are some differences with how each product achieves its results. I have been in contact with the Cloud Web Gateway Developers and confirmed that they do not recommend running the Sophos Cloud Web Gateway and Sophos Web Control products simultaneously each other. Currently it is possible to enable both in the same policy it is not recommended.
