Issues detected

I just downloaded SOPHOS anti virus for MAC home edition and ran it for the first time.  While it detected no "threats" it reported that there were "issues" detected.  However, I find no way to identify what those issues are and therefore can not deal with them.  Is there a way to identify "Issues detected".  Thanks

  • Hi Xtchr

You need to find the scan log. Here's one way. If you open the preferences panel you'll see a "logging" button at top right. Click on that, then view log contents and you should find your latest scan log there.

I did a scan recently and had "issues". These turned out to be corrupt files. Not sure what that means exactly or how you fix it, but I'm assuming it isn't of any great concern.

    Best of luck.

  • Also, this video should help explain the difference between issues and threats being detected.

    Hope that helps!

  • Please hear a user's perspective on this. It is anything but intuitive. "Issues detected" is in bold, but "No threats found" is one line above and is not bolded. This is confusing. With regard to the issues detected, why do you not include a button to press to see what the issues are? How is one to know to right-click?
