Setting for scanning archives and compressed files

I have a Mac Mini w/Yosemite 10.10.3. "Preferences -> Options -> Scan: Inside archives and compressed files" is unchecked. But the log says this:

Scan name: "Scan Local Drives"
Scan items:
Configuration:
Scan inside archives and compressed files: Yes
Automatically clean up threats: No
Action on infected files: Report only
Live Protection enabled: Yes

Is the log wrong, or will SAV scan archives and compressed files despite the setting?

Under Preferences you have control of the on-access scanner. Then, when you checked the log, it was reporting the result of an on-demand scan.

What you want to do is configure the on-demand 'Scan This Mac' scan so it doesn't scan archive files - like on-access (realtime) scanning is configured.
