Clean up Failed on Sophos

Ran Sophos and for the first time won't clean up.  It says the threat is Mal/Generic-S file name cbsidlm-sp1_0_595-Seashore-SEO-54532.dmg. ...  the log shows: 2015-06-09 02:42:20 -0400 Threat: 'Mal/Generic-S' detected
Threat not deleted because cleanup is available.

When I run clean up, it fails

Not sure where to go from here, it is in QM.  When I clicked on the hyper link "mal/generic-S' it took me to Sophos antivirus page.

  • You can do one of two things:

    • Browse in Finder to the locate of the file and delete it manually.
    • If you like, we can investigate the problem of failed cleanup up: You submit the file as a sample to SophosLabs, and also provide a full set of scan logs so I can raise the issue with SophosLabs - using both the sample and what failed in the Quarantine cleanup.  I'll provide more details if this option is chosen.

I don't mind the second, it's just more work for you than the first.
