Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite, SAV Mac 9.2.2, and You

Hey everyone,

We released version 9.2.2 to all Home Edition endpoints earlier today, this version contains the latest updates and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.10. Although the previous version (9.1.5) was also compatible, this update brings the latest improvements and refinements.

We also posted a new installer to our website today as well. Visit www.sophos.com if you need a copy.

    I've had to cease using Sophos Antivirus for Mac; in fact, after repeatedly downloading and deleting, downloading and deleting,downloading and deleting, my scanning never went beyond 12% before simply stalling out and quitting, so...

    ...I've permanently purged it from my computer.

    For the record, I've replaced Sophos with AVG Antivirus for Mac AND Bitdefender Virus Scanner for Mac, both free, and the both of them are performing the way Sophos Antivirus for Mac did when my Mac was running Mavericks.

    I'm not the type of person who wants to figure out why a program like Sophos on Yosemite doesn't work; I want programs like AVG and Bitdefender that simply do work - period.
