Issues detected but no threats found

After Sophos scanned my computer today no threats were found, but issues were detected. However, there was nothing to fix in my quaratine manager. How do I find out what the issues are, and how can I fix these issues?

As the thread says:  the issues are generally nothing to worry about.  See the video:

  • Just to build on the first post if you're paranoid about knowing the issues that were detected. Open console with spotlight. Expand Sophos from the menu bar on the right, select the date of the scan, search corrupt or encrypted and the file will pop up.  I found there was a corrupt presentation that triggered the warning.

  • thankyou very much for the help pool! im normally a window shopper on forums but ive actually made an account due to these good posts, i do love using the terminal when i can copy and paste ;) having done this i was returned with luckily no viruses but 1001 errors? they are all "could not open" but range from:

    Could not open /Users/****/Library/Containers/net.moveeye.asee-mac/Data/Library/Preferences/pbs.plist

-(moveeeye.asee) being a ip camera viewer app that works rather seamlessly for a freebie. To:

    Could not open /Users/****/Library/Containers/com.apple.AddressBook/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.avfoundation.plist

    and:

    Could not open /Users/****/Library/Containers/com.apple.appstore/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.plist

    the list goes on...

any thoughts much welcome, thanks for reading if youve got this far :)

-obviously new hopefully not too much of a noob.

  • I, too, have an" issues detected" message. When iI turned my computer on today my browser had been hijacked  to

AlltheInternet and Genieo was my SE. NOT MY CHOICE. I ran a terminal check after going through every suggestion you made and came up with 603 errors and no viruse detected. Argh! I have been at this on and off for two days. i make my living writing nowadays so this is gumming up the works. Please help me if you can. Regards, C. Mandregan
