"unable to connect to savd"

I successfully installed for ubuntu (18.04.3 LTS) and confirmed it is active and no problem with scans. However, when I tried to configure a scheduled scan on the terminal per section 10.2 of "Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux configuration guide" [Dec 2016], I received the error "unable to connect to savd". Anyone figure this one out? thanks, Jack

Hello Jack,

did you run savconfig sudoed? Unable to connect to savd is the response you get when calling the command as non-root.
