I am running Sophos Home for Mac, and ran a full scan yesterday. It found a threat and removed it, but when I go to History for my device in the Sophos Home dashboard to learn more about the threat and look at the details of the scan, my history shows "No Activity." How can I get the details on my scan results from yesterday?
I would suggest you reach out to our Sophos Home support team if you are unable to view any activity under dashboard entry in Sophos Home Dashboard.
Unfortunately I did reach out over chat and was told I had to ask the question on this forum.
You can check in the Console for mac under "FILES". It should be located under either "/Library/Logs" or "~/Library/Logs". Under both folders you should see Sophos Anti-Virus and expanding them will show a "Scans" folder with the logs. If this still does not help, you can reach out to Sophos Home support via Twitter(@SophosHome) as well.
Thanks so much for the info. That was helpful, and I did find the log file. However, the log file shows detections but I do not see an area in it that shows whether the detected threat was handled (quarantined, deleted, etc). I know I pushed the button in the user interface to quarantine the file. Where would I find the info that confirms that the file was successfully quarantined or deleted?
I am not sure about this, though could you please check under (default /Users/Shared/Infected/).
There is no such folder "Infected" in my Shared folder. I double checked by searching for that folder name on my computer, and there is no such folder.
If some threats have been deleted which you are seeing under the scan logs, the files likely don't exist on your computer anymore. You can re-scan and then verify the same from the logs. If you want to confirm other details, please reach out to our Sophos Home support team.
