SQL login error-message: Login failed for user 'Domain\SGNServer$'. Reason: Token-based <...>

Hi,

We're setting up a SafeGuard Enterprise environment, new server with Management Console and database on an excisting server. Now the SQL admin complains that SGN causes errormessages: "Login failed for user 'Domain\SGNServer$'. Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error. Check for previous errors."

Can anyone tell what's going wrong?

Kindest regards,

Pascal

  • Hi Pascal,

I'd suggest to check if you have installed the SafeGuard Task Scheduler (part of the SafeGuard Enterprise Server installation package). If the SafeGuard Task Scheduler was installed but not configured properly, you will expect failed logins against the SafeGuard DB, as the Task Scheduler periodically tries to query the DB for any tasks that need to be processed.

If it was installed but not configured, make sure to either uninstall the SafeGuard Task Scheduler module (choose the Enterprise SafeGuard Server node in Add/Remove Programs -> modify -> remove the Task Scheduler) if you don't want to use it or configure the task scheduler according to following Knowledge Base Article

SafeGuard Enterprise: How to configure the task scheduler for automatic Active Directory synchronization
