  • Hi Frederick,

To help you better with this query, please help me with the following questions:

    1. Are you trying to decrypt a particular file or a whole disk?

    2. Are you a new user or an existing user in the organization?

    3. The user who is gone now is he an administrator (Which Organizational Unit does he belong to)?

    4. What version of SGN encryption are you using?

    5. Are you using File Encryption or Volume Based Encryption?

  • Hi Frederick,

As long as you(MSO) has the same key you will be able to decrypt the file. Being an MSO, you will be able to decrypt the whole disk. You can also log in the Management Console and add yourself as the user to take control of the machine and decrypt the file.
