Sophos SafeGuard Enterprise Client - login denied

We are running the Sophos SafeGuard Enterprise Client without Device Encryption (v.6.01) on some of our XP clients.

We only use the FileEncryption Module.

On one of them from one day to the other SafeGuard denied the login to the PC completely.

No logins either with domain accounts nor with local accounts worked.

The message display was "The current settings of Sophos Safeguard do not allow the login"

If have no idea what could cause such a behavoir.

Does anyone has a clue what could cause this.

For a workaround to enable the login again we temporarily disabled the SafeGuard GINA. After the the user could login again but SafeGuard does not work in this case.

Any tips would be appreciated
