Safeguard Easy 4.50.4.3 upgrade question/help needed!

Hello,

According to the 4.50 user guide, SGE console does not support anything newer than Windows Server 2003. Unfortunately, Win Server 2003 is out of support and has to be upgraded to Windows Server 2012 R2. Does anyone knows if the the old SGE version 4.50.4.3 will work with the Windows Server 2012 R2 or it has to be upgraded to a newer SGE version? And if yes and has to be upgraded, where i can find the migration path (compatibility document with upgrade instructions) from 4.50.4.3 to the newer versions?

I appreciate any help here.

    Hello Galin,

    Yes I'm afraid 4.50 is long out of support, infact even 5.50 and 5.60 are no longer supported, you'll need to upgrade to atleast SafeGuard Easy 6.0 for which you can install the Policy Editor on:

    - Windows 7, SP1 Enterprise/Ultimate/Professional
    - Windows Vista SP1, SP2 Enterprise/Ultimate/Business
    - Windows XP Professional SP2, SP3 (32bit only)
    - Windows Server 2008 SP1, SP2
    - Windows Server 2008 R2, SP1 (64bit only)

    However, if you upgrade to SafeGuard Easy 7.0 you'll be able to use the Policy Editor on:

    - Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate Edition
    - Windows 8, 8.1 Pro, Enterprise Edition
    - Windows Server 2008 SP2 (64bit only)
    - Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (64bit only)
    - Windows Server 2012 / Server 2012 R2 (64bit only)
