Decrypt Files on a Mac

Hi, I have recently installed a Sophos Safeguard Enterprise server and have configured some policies.

I am testing out File Encryption policies on a Mac laptop prior to rolling them out.

I set-up a policy to encrypt all files in the users 'Documents' folder. This applied as expected. Now when I remove the policy I am unable to access any of the files, as they are all showing as encrypted and unreadable (even though the key used to encrypt the file is still in my keychain). If i i uninstall the sophos safeguard software the files are still unreadable and encrypted.

If i re-install the safeguard software and then  re-apply the policy to 'Exclude' the documents folder, then the Sophos icon shows the files as encrypted (green light) but i can read them all. If i re-apply the policy to 'Encrypt' the documents folder again I can still read them as well.

How do I decrypt the Documents folder that has been encrypted with File Encryption on the Mac? Such that i can uninstall the Sophos Safeguard File Encryption Software.

Thanks,

Tim
