E7x70 will contain NVMe SSD drives. It's very unlikely that these drives will work without a hotfix. In best case this existing patch can be used for this model, but nobody can confirm without testing.
From what I understand there's an AHCI and NVMe version of these devices. The AHCI and NVMe versions both use the same controller dubbed as "UBX", a PCIe 3.0 controller that should support both AHCI and NVMe driver s... however the only way to be sure is to test it.

The manual replacement is a bit bothersome, as we install Safeguard with a GPO.
Yes this issue was resolved with the release of SafeGuard Enterprise 7.00.1.2, available from your MySophos account. If you make sure you use this version for all releases you shouldn't have any issues.
We have successfully installed latest build of SGN7 without hotfixes on a DELL XPS13 which uses the same NVMe disk that the Exx70 will contain. So it's very likely that the installation will work on Exx70 series too.
