not seen. According to MS KB942055 your result code (0x800700c1) blames the "bitness" of the module (in relation to the application pool) or module corruption - dunno if this helps though. If it appeared suddenly the usual question is has perhaps someone changed something?

I removed the WSUS Replica server role and re-installed IIS 8 to get it working again. I thought the two services were coexisting for a couple days but something apparently went worng.
I assumed incorrectly that because they ran on different ports by default that there wouldn't be a conflict.
