SGE 6.1: Define SQL server Port?

We're currently in the process of deploying SGE, and we're going with a full fledged SQL server that's not on the same machine as the SGE installation. From all documentation I've found, it looks like SGE defaults to using the default SQL port 1433.

There's not an easy way to define this through the installation interface it seems. Is there some other way to use a custom or non-default port for SQL during installation?

  • Hi Will,

when you want to establish a connection from the SafeGuard Enterprise Management Center to a SQL Instance on a non-default port, specify the connection during the initial setup under "Database Server Connection > Connection Settings > Database Server" as following:

    SQLSERVER\MSSQLSERVER,1433

    Cheers,
