I have a laptop that we just setup with Sophos firewall / AV as well as FDE. For some reason it not shows an error on the safeguard login screen saying the workstation is locked and that we have to perform a challenge / response. Unfortunately there is no option to do that. I have looked through the forums and various sophos links and the only thing I found was that you should be able to hit F2 when you see the autologin message appear. On this machine that never happens. Once it starts booting up it goes from bios to a "safeguard is starting" message. No matter when I press F2 I never get any additional options or menus; it just boots back to the safeguard screen telling me it's locked still.I'm at the point where I'm about to reformat and reinstall everything but I really don't want to waste a day because of this error.
Also, and this is just fyi, there were no invalid passwords entered to cause the system to lock. I was logged in just fine, performed a windows update, and on reboot it would no longer allow me to login.
Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get this resolved without a system wipe?
Thanks,
Michael
