Remote Access

I have an interesting problem that maybe you could help with.

I work for a law firm and we are encrypting all of our laptops before they go out now. We recently had an issue where it would have been good to get remote access to a computer, but the user wasn't there and it was just sitting at the SafeGuard login window.

Has anyone figured out a way to get access to a computer that is at that screen? I know that the OS hasn't loaded by that point so no programs are loaded yet. If anyone has a solution get access to a computer that would help me out.

Thanks!

  • Hi okrobpr,

you either need to locally unlock the POA using your User ID and Password, Token/smartcard or Fingerprint to be able to pass the SafeGuard POA or enable Wake-On LAN prior to the shutdown of the machine, to set the POA into autologin mode for a specified amount of reboots.
