Safeguard Encryption for File Share

Hi,

i am a newbie on Sophos safeguard encryption for file share. may i ask if anyone can give me idea on how to configure it? thanks in advance.

I would love to know also. I'm evaluating SafeGuard and have everything setup to work as expected but writing files to a file share i have configured is just not working.

That's a big question, the real question you need to ask is "what files do I need to encrypt and under what circumstances?" You need to isolate that first, you can't encrypt ALL files you'll brick your system. Without that as a starting point you might as well just get some Device Encryption licenses to do sector based encryption on the hard drives and call it good.

Hi Cris,
I've read that document but I didn't find the solution. It is not explained how create, assign and manage shared keys.
can you add this bit of finformation?

I'm happy to extend the guide if it does not provide all the information you're looking for.
To clarify: What exactly are you looking for? When you're speaking about shared keys, do you mean the keys that will be generated when performing the Active Directory synchronization (so encryption keys for Organizational Units, Groups and Domains)?
