Safeguard 5.6 to 6.1

Hey all,

I've been looking all around to some sort of direction to go in with my problem but haven't really found anyhing in the past couple weeks.

My company wants to uprade from sophos safeguard 5.6 to 6.1, and we've set up a new server on win 2008r2 and everything is fine when installing on a clean machine. The problem occurs when trying to update older (5.6) clients to the newer (6.10.0.374) client. we can get the preinstall and the client to install fine and the POA(?) changes correctly to the newer looking version and the icon changes as well, but when trying to install the client configuration we get an error (error 25555 according to orca)  "The package which you attempt to install can not be installed because it is older than the already installed package." . There seems to be no mention of this anywhere that i've looked and just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or has run into this problem before.

Both the preinstall and the client are version 6.10.0.372 and the client config is 6.10.0.374 .

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance
