Helpdesk officers are unable to search for machines

Hi there,

I have two Helpdesk Officers in our Service Desk that are unable to search for machines or users in the SG console.  They have the same rights as the others users within our Service Desk but they get no results when they try to search.

We are currently on version 5.5.  Is there anyone out there that may be able to offer an idea as to why they are having this problem?

  • Are these machines in a specific OU? It could be they dont have rights to see them, even though they have rights to perform the same actions as other members of staff.

    Open the Safeguard Management Center and try selecting the OU, workgroup or domain the machines are part of and selecting the "Acces Tab" in the pane on the right hand side.
