HP 820 G1 very slow booting to POA screen

Windows 7

It takes more than minute before i can start logging at POA screen. Already tried with diferent BIOS setup but with no result.

What is Ur expierience with this 820 G1?

    Hello,

    Safeguard Enterprise 6.01.

    Latest BIOS.

    Windows 7.

    We have the same Problem.

    HP 820 an HP 840 Notebooks needs 50 second to boot from BIOS logo to POA logon screen.

    After Sophos installation the ATA Compatibility mode is enabled. I do not know why.

    To solve the problem we disable ATA Compatibility mode in Sophos ( Shift F6 at boot process ).

    After disable ATA Compatibility mode the Notebooks needs 17 Seconds to boot from Bios logo to POA logon screen.

    Previously a had a problem with changing setting at sophos booting level. I was doing it wrong.

    Correct steps:

    1. Hold SHIFT button

    2. Sophos boot pause and ask U to pass Ur option
    3. press SHIFT + F6 and U will see a confirmation that ATA Compability mode have changed
    4. at POA login screen press F5 to see the change

    5. after U login in to sophos U will be asked to save changes

    Problem solved :)
