Differentiate Between Sophos Central Email and XG Email Security

Thank you for your post. Email protection in XG and Sophos Central Email protection are both excellent products. I am afraid we don't have a documentation explaining the differences between the both, however the best suggestion from us is to contact your Account manager and/or sales team to discuss your environment and what would suit better.

I will review those articles and ask my account manager. 

I asked the question because we have both the subscription on the xg and sophos central and not sure which one to use.

Environment: 2 Xg (1 HQ and 1 Branch)

                     office 365 email

Offices are connected via Site-To-Site however if the hq is used for email security and that firewall is turned off for what ever reason everything will stop. 

I don't see a way to use both firewall as email security server which is why i am confused in selecting a solution.

If Office 365 is apart of your mail routing you will want to use Sophos email over an XG..

If you are not using O365 or wish to do things like send mail site to site via vpn or similar, then the xg would be better.

Currently all mail related routing is done through O365. 

I will follow your advice and do the routing through Sophos Central.
