RouterNT.exe establish connection localhost port49158- 49168

Hi All,

Default communication port are 8192, 8193 & 8194, however run TCPview tools last week and found that RouterNT are establishing connectio to localhost on port 49158-49168.

Does anyone know what are this port function and trigger reason by RouterNT?. Thanks

Hello Azwan,

these loopback connections are for machine-internal communication - you'll find similar connections with many applications nowadays.

Hello Azwan,

with Location Roaming enabled clients exchange information (but it's over UDP and using the - fixed - port 51235, and also it's not RouterNT).
