Sophos EndUser Protection

With this week's Mountain Lion announcement, Apple is trumpeting Gatekeeper, sandboxing, and runtime protections as a built-in set of seamless threat protections.

This does not appear to address the braod spectrum of threats that Sophos Enpoint Protection proides to MAc users.

Is there a definative and clear statement from Sophos on why their products provide superior protection and why the built-in security features of OS X Mountain Lion will not be sufficient for true protection?

Thanks.  Update would be appreciated when actual product is available for hands on next month,  Post you referenced was good, but based on early reports of expected functionality.
